Naval Criminal Investigative Service.

Navy: Investigación Criminal, es una exitosa serie de televisión producida por Donald P. Bellisario. Con dosis de humor, está centrada en un complejo pero entretenido y dinámico grupo, forzado a trabajar en situaciones de alto estrés. Se trata de un equipo de agentes especiales que debe investigar cualquier crimen que tenga alguna conexión con las dependencias del cuerpo naval y de la marina.

El plan estratégico de este servicio de investigación tiene como prioridades la prevención de atentados terroristas y actos hostiles contra las fuerzas e instalaciones navales, la protección de los sistemas e informaciones y la reducción de crímenes y de su impacto en la disponibilidad operacional de los cuerpos de la marina. Al mando de este equipo de NCIS está el agente especial Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), un antiguo sargento de la artillería marina cuyo talento como investigador es único y cuya principal labor será tenerlo todo controlado, algo que consigue gracias a sus métodos poco ortodoxos pero siempre efectivos. Gibbs es un hombre de pocas palabras que sólo necesita una mirada para expresarlo todo.
